Everyone likes to be treated special on their birthday, even if they are a championship-winning NBA star. LeBron James and Anthony Davis were bestie goals when LeBron recently serenaded Anthony by singing “happy birthday” to him while they were inside the Lakers team locker room.
Not many people (outside of his family and close friends) can say that they had LeBron James sing them happy birthday—but now Anthony Davis can happily say that he is one of them. The two NBA stars, who are also LA Lakers teammates, recently showed just how cute their off-the-court friendship is.
LeBron recently posted a video of himself singing an enthusiastic rendition of “happy birthday” to Anthony, who looked adorably surprised and appreciative of the gesture. LeBron gave it all he had, singing “Happy birthday, AD … happy birthday, homie … happy birthday, my guy guy-y-y-y-y” at the top his lungs.
Anthony is now officially 27-years-old, and LeBron made sure to usher in his little brother’s birthday with the classic song.
This moment between the two stars is likely very different than what will reportedly be taking place soon at their next games. According to multiple reports, the NBA is seriously considering banning all audience members from future NBA games as a response to the coronavirus outbreak and to ensure that both fans and players are kept as safe as possible.
Initially, LeBron wasn’t down with playing without the fans being present, but soon changed his mind once the U.S. cases of the virus began to grow.
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
