LeBron James Sends A Taco Truck To Help Feed The First Responders Battling The Fires In California

We all know Taco Tuesday is a pretty big deal in the James household. However, LeBron James is celebrating Taco Tuesday a little different this time around as he shows his appreciation for the first responders battling the wildfires out in California.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted out his appreciation for LeBron on Tuesday and said, “Thank you, @KingJames, for generously sending a taco truck to support our @LAFD firefighters, first responders, and partner agencies working to fight the #GettyFire.”

While at practice on Tuesday, he expressed his appreciation for the first responders and said, “First of all more than anything, my appreciation and loyalty to the first responders. You know those guys, men and women are unbelievable at what they’re doing and their bravery throughout this time.”

“Any time you’re dealing with a situation like that, they’re the reason why things can be a lot less worse than they possibly could be,” said LeBron.

As we previously reported, LeBron and his family were among the evacuees that had to leave their homes due to the fires. He shared his family’s experience through a series of tweets and said, “Man these LA fires aren’t no joke. Had to emergency evacuate my house and I’ve been driving around with my family trying to get rooms. No luck so far!”

According to KTLA, Los Angeles Fire Chief Ralph Terrazas said that 24 fire departments have responded to the Getty Fire and about 1,165 personnel have been assigned to the incident. As of Tuesday, the fire has grown to 656 acres and was 15% contained.

People are still under mandatory evacuation from their homes, with the possibility of being able to return on Wednesday.
