LeBron Speaks On Playing With Bronny

During interviews with Team USA Basketball, LeBron told reporters that Bronny being drafted by the Lakers is a “dream come true.”

“For me, to be able to see my son make it in the NBA alone is great. It’s always been a dream of his. For us to be side-by-side. Words are lost. I mean, the kid has worked so hard to get back to this point, so much has happened over the last year with him. To have this happen less than a year from his incident, to being with our friends and family when they announced his name, it was something that was super surreal. Our family still doesn’t have enough words to explain the feeling that we have, LeBron explained.

The NBA superstar went on to say that he has high hopes for Bronny James and looks forward to watching his progress.

“Such a great kid, and I’m looking forward to seeing the progression for him to get better. He has so much room for improvement, the speed of the game, physicality of the game,” LeBron said.

LeBron also discussed Bronny making his Summer League debut in the California Classic. According to the NBA, this opportunity is an exhibition step toward potentially teaming up next season.

“Doesn’t matter if he plays well and doesn’t matter if he doesn’t play well. I just want him to continue to grow in practices, in film sessions, his individual workouts. You can’t take anything as far as stat-wise from the California Classic and Summer League. The only thing that matters is him getting better. He missed a big part of the season last year, because of the incident less than a year ago. So he’s behind as far as where he would have been if he would’ve played the full season. Every day he’s getting better and that’s the only thing that matters,” LeBron said.

Social Media Reacts To NBA Player

The Roomies quickly hopped into The Shade Room comment section to defend LeBron James. Several social media users commended the NBA baller for being a great father and gave him props for pushing Bronny to carry his legacy.

Instagram user @kgood1218 wrote, “That’s right👏🏾 that’s a proud father right there. He didn’t do anything different than other people in his position has done.”

More Details On Bronny’s Lakers Draft

As The Shade Room previously reported, the Los Angeles Lakers have officially drafted Bronny James, LeBron James’ eldest son.
