Former NBA player and now sports analyst Charles Barkley has been known to be harsh on a few basketball players, one of those players being LeBron James.
In the past James has pretty much brushed off Barkley’s comments when it comes to him as a player. But recently everything boiled over, and James finally broke his silence on his thoughts about Barkley and his comments.
According to ESPN, following a recent loss 104-97 to the Dallas Mavericks, James decided to give his thoughts on Barkley’s most recent comments.
He said, “He’s a hater. What makes what he says credible? Because he’s on TV?”
However things did not stop there. He continued, “I’m not going to let him disrespect my legacy like that. I’m not the one who threw somebody through a window. I never spit on a kid. I never had unpaid debt in Las Vegas. I never said, ‘I’m not a role model.’ I never showed up to All-Star Weekend on Sunday because I was in Vegas all weekend partying.”
“All I’ve done for my entire career is represent the NBA the right way. Fourteen years never got in trouble. Respected the game. Print that.”
James also had something to say about Barkley’s game back in the day and also some things about New York Knicks president Phil Jackson after the two had a rift earlier in the season.
