On Friday, Nas released his latest album, “King’s Disease II,” and once Twitter heard the femcee, Lauryn Hill, on a track social media was lit!
With the duo connecting again, it seems that they gave fans just what they were waiting for.
Addressing her tardiness to concerts and a lot more, Hill had a few things on her mind and clearly cleared the room and stated, “My awareness like Keanu in ‘The Matrix.’ I’m saving souls and y’all complaining about my lateness.” She also said, “Now let me give it to you balanced and with clarity. I don’t need to turn myself into a parody. I don’t do the s**t you do for popularity.”
One person tweeted, “Lauryn Hill should give us another album, she still got it.” Another said, “lauryn hill showed up to the nas album ready to remind everyone there’s a crown on her head.” Someone else added, “Reminder that at 46 years of age Lauryn Hill could out rap 90% of n***as out right now. She’s still got it.” One commenter also said,” Nas got Lauryn Hill rapping in 2021…rapping rapping fr……my eyes teary man…”
As you already know, Nas and Hill haven’t been on a tracked together since 1996 with “If I Ruled the World (Imagine That).” The hit single was from Nas’ “It Was Written” album. It was also Hill’s first time without the her group mates, Fugees. Fast forward, the two went on tour together in 2012, “Life Is Good/Black Rage” tour.
Roomies, what y’all think about the track?
