The complete lineup for the Pitchfork Music Festival is finally here, and the one and only Lauryn Hill has been named as one of the festival headliners.
According to Billboard, Lauryn Hill will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of her classic album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” when she hits the stage at the festival.
The Pitchfork Music Festival will be taking place on July 20th through the 22nd at Chicago’s Union Park, and Ms. Hill will hit the stage the last night of the festival.
The official 20th anniversary of Hill’s one and only solo album will actually be on August 25th. Nonetheless, the success of the album has appointed Lauryn Hill to legendary status.
The album spent four weeks at #1 on Billboard 200, and even took home five awards at the 1999 Grammys, including “Album of the Year,” making it the first ever hip-hop album to win that category.
