It looks like Lauryn Hill is ready to hit the road to perform some of her classic hits for fans. She is set to perform in 17 cities, starting with Philadelphia later this month.
Now we all know she’s known to show up to a few of her shows pretty late, but it looks like that may all be behind her with her new tour called, “The MLH Carvan: A Diaspora Calling!”
According to Billboard, the tour will pull influence from her “Diaspora Calling!” music festival, which went down in Brooklyn back in April.
The shows press release revealed that the tour would also feature performances from artists throughout the African diaspora. Artists from her festival’s lineup included Machel Montano and Stephen “Ragga” Marley and a host of others.
Hill said in a statement, “The MLH Caravan allows me to continue the theme of unity and celebration of the many facets of cultural and artistic beauty throughout the African diaspora while on tour this summer and fall. In these days of tension, tumult and transition, an exchange of this kind can yield direction, expression, understanding and empowerment as well as connection, self Love and appreciation that hopefully overflows into our respective communities.”
The message behind this tour is definitely positive. I mean who wouldn’t to spend a night listening to good music that is centered on a good message?
