As previously reported by The Shade Room, Reese was drafted to the Chicago Sky on Monday, April 15. She was the number seven draft pick in the first round.

Om3.com reports Reese will walk away with $73,439 in her first year with the Sky. In 2025, she will earn $74,000 yearly. Moreover, the figure will increase to over $82,000 by 2026.

After Reese learned she would play in the Windy City, she asked her followers to give her a new nickname. Angel’s nickname was the Bayou Barbie when she played for LSU. Although she received many suggestions from fans, she announced the final moniker to her followers.

“Hey y’all it’s the Chi Barbie here,” she greeted her followers. “I want y’all to know I’m still gonna be the Bayou Barbie, but like, I’m going to Chicago now, so they basically already been inheriting me into Chicago…the love from Chicago is going deep and running crazy,” she said.

Angel continued, “So I am the Chi Barbie, I’m the Baltimore Barbie, and I’m always going to be the Bayou Barbie.”

Good luck with your first season, sis!
