A Brief Recap Of Events
As The Shade Room previously reported, fans began to speculate about a rift between Ice Spice and Latto after Ice Spice received a feature verse from Nicki Minaj on her single ‘Princess Diana.’ Before this, Latto and Minaj had traded insults over their 2022 Grammy nominations.
In turn, Latto released ‘Put It On Da Floor,’ seemingly taking aim at her rap rivals before pairing up with a foe of Minaj’s for the remix.
As time passed, fans speculated that Latto also took shots at Ice Spice on Offset’s single, ‘FINE AS CAN BE.’
“That n**** a munch, your booking fee, ate it for lunch,” Latto rapped, per UPROXX, seemingly referring to Ice Spice’s breakout single ‘Munch.’
Then, most recently, Ice Spice admitted to hitting back at Latto and her disses, seemingly referring to the release of her recent single, ‘Think U The S**t (Fart).
“I’m in the back of your weak a** snippet. Like, that’s why I was confused. So I was like, ‘Wait a second, that’s me?’ I’m like, ‘Okay, since we’re talking about me’ — and I dropped that; it was really just a snippet,” she said while on X spaces on Friday, February 2. “I was like, ‘This has to be fake. This is AI.’ But b*****s be bold, so I was like, ‘Oh, we’re being bold today.'”
During the discussion, Ice Spice was also asked how she felt about allegedly surpassing Latto in monthly listeners on Spotify.
“Get off the floor,” she said, seemingly referencing Latto’s prior single.
In turn, Latto appeared to respond by pulling up to Ice Spice’s stomping grounds — the Bronx, New York.
At this point, Ice Spice has yet to address Latto’s pull-up or cover art.
