Latto is sharing a message for Megan Thee Stallion amid the release of her latest single, “Hiss.” As The Shade Room previously reported, the Houston-bred Hottie released the song on Friday, January 26.
The single also prompted a previous response from Nicki Minaj as well.
On Wednesday, January 31, Megan Thee Stallion took to Instagram to share a video clip with fans. The clip was a portion of the official music video for “Hiss.”
Additionally, in the caption, she wrote:
“Hotties 🥹🥹🥹 I really really love and appreciate everything ❤️ KEEP RUNNING UP #HISSEVERYWHERE”
The rapper’s post prompted over 19,000 comments from fellow Instagram users and fans. One comment was from fellow rapper Latto.
“U making us proud Meg 🤩,” she wrote.

Social media users entered The Shade Room’s comment section to share their reactions to Latto’s praise of Megan. Many remarked that Nicki Minaj would not be happy about her fellow rappers’ camaraderie.
Oh Lord, y’all about to have Nicki up for another 72 hours 😂
“when opps clique up 😂”
“It’s The Whole Industry Vs Nicki Minaj”
“It’s really all of them vs Nicki smh”
“We love when the girls show ‘GENUINE’ love 🫶🏽”
While Instagram user @officiialnoll remarked that Latto’s comment to Meg should not be linked to Nicki Minaj.
“Not everything has to be about Nicki… Why can’t latto show support to Megan? Y’all are being messy…”
As The Shade Room previously reported, Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj went viral this past week. When Meg released “Hiss,” she seemingly shared words for her ex-boyfriend Pardison Fontaine while calling out fellow female rappers who allegedly want to sound like her.
Soon after, Nicki Minaj hopped on Instagram Live to preview a song called “Big Foot.” During the stream, she seemingly laughed at a rapper who she referred to as “Lying Lipo” and said they couldn’t rap on beat despite winning three Grammys. According to the award show’s official website, Meg has won three Grammys.
In a separate clip of the live stream, Minaj went on to taunt her target by saying they’ll be running on their “good foot for the rest” of their days. As The Shade Room previously reported, Meg sustained injuries to her foot after a 2020 shooting prompted by Tory Lanez.
Earlier this week, Minaj officially released “Big Foot.” Although Megan Thee Stallion has not publicly responded to the track, she has informed fans that she’ll release an album this year and embark on touring.
This could be what prompted Latto’s recent message for Megan Thee Stallion. However, it’s also important to note that Latto became embroiled in her own back-and-forth with Nicki Minaj in 2022. In March of that year, Latto publicly claimed she was neutral in Minaj and Cardi B’s yearslong beef, per The Shade Room.
In October that year, Nicki Minaj expressed frustration with her single ‘Super Freaky Girl,’ being placed in the Grammy Pop category instead of Rap. The rapper referred to Latto’s single ‘Big Energy’ not receiving the same categorization despite its similar sound.
“If Super Freaky Girl is pop, then so is Big Energy,” Minaj explained at the time. “If you move Super Freaky Girl out of rap and put it in pop, do the same thing with Big Energy. Same producers on both songs, by the way. Let’s keep s**t fair. Even when I’m rapping on a pop track, I still out rap.”
When Latto spoke on the matter, she appeared to be discouraged.
In response, Minaj vocalized her offense at Latto for not speaking up for her and referred to her as a “Karen.”
From there, a heated back-and-forth ensued.
