Rapper Latto is continuing to give back to her roots! As The Shade Room previously reported, the Clayton County, Georgia native showered residents with gifts for the 2022 holiday season, and now she’s giving back to the students of her former high school.
According to Fox 5 Atlanta, the 24-year-old rapper appeared at her former high school in her native Clayton County, Lovejoy High, on the evening of Friday, October 6. The high school’s website adds that Friday was also the school’s official homecoming.
The outlet reports that the “Muwop” rapper donated $35,000 to Lovejoy High for the occasion. At this time, it remains unclear how the donation was used or will be utilized.
Additionally, Fox 5 Atlanta reports that the rapper even purchased Wingstop for the students as she posed for photos and videos. Check them out below, as one video even shows Latto teaming up for a TikTok with the Lovejoy homecoming queen.
Furthermore, Fox 5 Atlanta reports that Latto shared brief words on the occasion, seemingly via a now-deleted social media post.
“it’s always good to show love to where you came from.”
Since then, Latto has commented on some fans’ surprise at her previously attending Lovejoy High on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“How y’all didn’t know I went to Lovejoy???… I went to Pointe South, Kemp & Rex Mill too.. Clayco baby fr”

As The Shade Room previously reported, Latto gave back to Clayton County residents with her second annual “Christmas in Clayco” holiday event in December 2022.
At the time, it was reported that the rapper donated over 3,000 gifts for residents, including “free food, entertainment, and other essential items.”
Additionally, Latto was gifted with the key to Clayton County and her own holiday, “Latto Day,” which will be celebrated on December 18th.
On December 19, the rapper took to Instagram to share additional photos and videos of the event, along with some brief words.
