Larsa Pippen Reveals How Marcus Jordan’s Parents Feel About Their Relationship

Larsa Pippen recently sat with Tamron Hall for her self-titled talk show and discussed her relationship with Marcus Jordan, including how Michael Jordan and Marcus’ mother, Juanita Vanoy, feel about their romance.

“I’ve recently been hanging out with [Marcus’ parents], but I don’t really want to talk about them. I feel like it’s not about my parents, his parents. They’re all happy, our whole family is fine. I feel like it’s more about where I am, where he is,” Larsa said. “I feel like we’re in a great place. We motivate each other. We’re really happy being together and I feel like that’s the most important thing.”

Despite Larsa’s hesitation, Tamron pressed on–citing how ‘normal’ it is for people to wonder how Marcus’ parents reacted to them dating.

“They’re fine, everyone’s fine. When you’re an adult, I think your parents just wanna see you happy. My parents wanna see me happy. His parents wanna see him happy.”

Tamron Hall followed up by asking if Larsa and Marcus have his parents’ blessing. She responded:

“Yeah, I feel like we’re great. We’ve spent holidays together. It’s good, we’re in a great place,” Pippen said.

Things are so good that Larsa even told Tamron she thinks they’re in love. On Valentine’s Day, Larsa shared a post of them standing in a sandy area and labeling the 32-year-old her “forever Valentine” in the caption.

Her public embrace of their romance comes months after footage surfaced of them in intimate contact at Rolling Loud NYC in September. Yet, weeks earlier, sources told TMZ the pair were “really just homies and not an item” after they were spotted in a group setting at a Miami restaurant.

In January, the pair were photographed sharing a kiss in Miami.

Larsa Pippen Talks Dating Marcus Jordan Despite Scottie Pippen’s Tensions With His Father

Prior to spilling the ‘family time’ tea, Larsa spoke on dating Marcus despite Scottie Pippen‘s documented tensions with Michael Jordan.

“I can’t basically explain how someone else feels. That’s how Scottie feels, he has a right to the way he feels. I personally don’t really care about what other people…I feel like I live my truth. I’m happy. I feel like we get along. That’s my best friend,” Larsa said. Adding, “I feel like we have a lot in common.”

In November, she stepped into The Shade Room‘s Instagram comment section with a clarification. The Real Housewives of Miami claimed she “never knew [Marcus Jordan] or his family” during her marriage to Scottie.

“I just met him 3 years ago, I never knew him or his family. I was 21 years old and in college when Scottie played that one year w MJ, and we weren’t friends with them like everyone thinks,” she wrote.

As previously reported, Larsa and Scottie married in 1997. Scottie and Michael hooped together with the Chicago Bulls from 1987-1993 and again from 1995-1998.

In 2012, Jordan and Yvette Prieto, Jordan’s wife, were photographed alongside the Pippens at Scottie’s surprise birthday party. Two years before that, Jordan presented Scottie during his induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame.

Yet, in a 2021 GQ interview, Pippen–like his ex-wife–claimed he and Jordan “never really had that off-the-court relationship.”

Larsa Pippen On 16-Year Age Gap With Marcus Jordan

One thing Larsa is adamant about is she didn’t plan to date her ex-husband’s former teammate’s son.

“I didn’t plan it like that. It wasn’t like it was planned like that. I think we were just together a lot with our friends, and it just so happened,” Larsa said.

She revealed they met about four years ago at a party in Los Angeles after their mutual friends introduced them. And their 16-year age gap doesn’t seem to bother the 48-year-old. For her, maturity goes beyond age.

“We have everything in common. I’ve dated guys that are a lot older than me. Scottie is ten years older than me. So I don’t really view age as ‘you’re mature, you’re immature.’ I don’t feel like that determines if you’re mature or not.” She added, “I feel like if you can drink at 21, you can go to war at 18…there’s different circumstances that I feel like age doesn’t determine level of maturity.”

Most of all, she told Tamron she wants to live her life and love who she wants without either becoming a hot topic.

“I feel like I should have love, I should be able to date who I want. I should be able to live happy and go wherever I want to go and not be judged every time I’m seen with someone,” Pippen said.
