Lala Anthony Joins The Cast Of The Hulu Series ‘Wu-Tang: An American Saga’

It looks like Lala Anthony has yet another acting role to add to her resume. This time she’ll be joining the cast of the Hulu hit series “Wu-Tang: An American Saga.”

According to Deadline, the second season, which is currently in production, will pick up six months after the ending of the first season. Lala will be playing the role of Tracey Waples, who is described as “a young, vibrant Executive at Def Jam. She’s on the pulse of good music and boldly speaks her mind. After seeing Wu-Tang live she’s completely invested, but her plan for the group might not align with their own.”

Lala shared her excitement for joining the show and said, “Beyond blessed to be able to do what I love everyday. Thank you RZA for trusting me with this opportunity. The story of the WU-TANG CLAN is history and I’m happy to help tell it! @wutangonhulu season 2 coming soon!!!”

The second season is scheuled to premiere this fall, but an official date has not been announced.

The show chronicles the rise of the legendary rap group Wu-Tang Clan, and covers the formation of the group, and the obstacles they overcame to be the legendary hip-hop group that they are known as today.

As we previously reported, Lala has joined forces with her “Power,” co-star 50 Cent as they work to bring a series about the life of Cyntoia Brown to Starz.

She is also currently starring on the fourth season of the Showtime hit series, “The Chi,” which is is second season on the show.
