Say it ain’t so! People has confirmed that pop singer Lady Gaga and her actor fiance, Taylor Kinney have called off their engagement after being together for five years.
According to their industry source, their conflicting schedules prevented their romance from flourishing.
“Their work kept them apart a lot,” they told People. “Chicago Fire keeps him in Chicago and her work is almost always elsewhere.”
Kinney proposed to Gaga on Valentines day back in 2015 with a huge, heart-shaped diamond ring. “I really can’t imagine being with anyone other than who I’m with right now,” the singer told Howard Stern shortly before the engagement. “He is the right guy. I have that feeling. I just know it.”
Kinney had actually told People earlier this year that their wedding plans were “a surprise.”
TMZ is currently reporting that Gaga wasn’t seen with her man on his birthday last week and is now vacationing in Cabos with friends. They say she hasn’t been seen with her engagement ring on and also allege that the couple has been broken up for a month now.
