L.A. District Attorney’s Office Sends The Case Of Three Transgender Women Attacked In Hollywood Back To The L.A. Police Department For Further Investigation—No Charges Have Been Filed Due To Lack Of Evidence

#Roommates, following the arrest of two of the three suspects involved in the attack of three transgender women in Hollywood, the case has taken a disappointing turn. According to new reports, the L.A. District Attorney’s office recently sent the case back to the LAPD without filing any charges.

@CBSLA reports, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirmed earlier this week that no charges have been filed against Carlton Callway and Willie Walker, the men who were arrested in connection with the attack on three transgender women in Hollywood earlier this month.

The D.A.’s office says the case was officially sent back to the Los Angeles Police Department for further investigation into the alleged robbery and hate crime attack against YouTube star Eden the Doll (Eden Estrada) and two of her friends, Joslyn Allen and Jasmine Busanet. Despite the disturbing attack being caught on video, more evidence is reportedly needed to move forward. Police said they were also still looking for a third suspect, identified as Davion Williams.

As we previously reported, authorities said they recognized both suspects after reviewing the viral video and detectives reportedly worked with members of the LGBTQ community to quickly find them.

Following the attack, L.A. City Councilman Mitch O’Farrell, spoke out against the suspects:

“When I saw the video, like anyone who has seen it who believes in human decency, to see this level of violence celebrated gleefully, smooch so that the perpetrator himself posted on social media, is like a sucker punch to all of us who believe in civilized behavior.”

Eden the Doll, Joslyn Allen, and Jasmine Busanet were waiting for an Uber when the suspects began harassing them and things turned violent in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard.
