On Saturday Kyrie Irving was fined $25,000 for using “inappropriate language,” towards a fan during Friday nights game against the 76ers.
According to ESPN, a video began to circulate around social media where a fan shouts, “Kyrie, where’s LeBron?” as the Celtics walked towards the locker room during halftime.
In the video, Irving seems to look up in the direction of the fan and responds using inappropriate language.
Irving responded to the situation and said, “At the end of the day, we’re human. It’s in heat of the moment, and frustrations arise. We were at halftime; we were down by four, in an environment, a season opener in Philly. Being with a young team like we have here and staying composed, handling that before we go in the locker room and addressing what we have to do in the locker room and going out and handling business and getting the W, that’s really the only thing that matters to me.”
Reportedly, Irving’s response to the fan was,“Suck my d**k.”
When asked if he had any regrets about the incident, Irving said:
