Roommates, Kylie Jenner is not about to let social media attempt to cancel her for something she didn’t do. Kylie quickly fired back on Twitter following claims that she refused to tag the black designer of the dress she wore in a recent Instagram post.
During her recent vacation on the Fourth of July, Kylie Jenner posted a photo of herself wearing Loud Brand Studios “Vashtie” Dress—which is a ruched bodycon dress with a stretchy fishnet bodice that retails for $144.
Since Kylie didn’t initially tag the brand in her post, several Twitter users began dragging her on social media and immediately assumed that it was an intentional decision. One user commented, “Kylie Jenner is refusing to tag the designer of the dress she just posted, which is a black owned brand, and now limiting her comments. @LoudBrndStudios is the designer!” However, once Kylie got wind of the brewing backlash, she responded and shut the situation down.
She tweeted the following:
“Ok this is just a reach. why would I ever REFUSE to tag a brand and block comments. This is completely false. I think this brand is amazing and I wanted to show support and will continue to do so. Everyone go check out @LoudBrndStudios.”
Sources inside Kylie’s camp revealed that she rarely tags brands on Instagram unless it’s her own company or a designer she’s modeling for an editorial spread.
Nevertheless, Kylie went back to her post and tagged the brand and also promoted the it on her Instagram Story. Loud Studios greatly appreciated her acknowledgement and wrote, “Hi guys!!!! We are so overwhelmed with the outpouring of love wow !!! We are so grateful for Jill and Kylie because this has really changed things for us so excited to be featured on her platform how amazing !!! Thank you so much Jill and Kylie.”
