Kodak Black’s team has been using his social media platforms to deliver his messages about allegedly being abused by authorities as he serves his time in prison. Now Kodak’s mother and attorneys are speaking out as they try to get to the bottom of what’s going on.
According to WSVN 7, Kodak’s mother, Marcelene Simmons, has enlisted the help of Benjamin Crump, after Kodak alleged that he has been facing unfair treatment from correction officers while behind bars. On Wednesday, Kodak’s mother, Crump and attorney Devon M. Jacob were scheduled to meet with Kodak to conduct a welfare check. However, when they got there, they learned that he had been placed on a bus and transferred to Kentucky.
Crump said, “We believe they intentionally moved him, so he couldn’t meet with his attorneys. She wants to make sure that while he’s in their custody, that he doesn’t end up dead, so she is very concerned as well as all of her family that these allegations are to be taken seriously.”
As we previously reported, there was a lengthy post made to Kodak’s page where he claimed that they were “strategically killing” slowly. He called out a name in particular and said, “Lieutenant F. Arroyo has been very vindictive towards me and I have a strong feeling it has something to do with me being set up, laced, bruised and brutally beaten two weeks before my court date.”
He continued, “I am highly disappointed in the way they have treated not only me but all the other inmates in this facility. With their self-serving agenda, they will always side with their fellow officers whether right or wrong.”
Kodak’s mother spoke with the press and said, “I want to make sure my son is okay. I want to make sure they don’t kill my son. If they kill my son, if my son dies, I’m going to kill myself too. My son, after God, my son is life to me. My son is everything for me.”
