#Roommates, it’s been about a week since Kodak Black was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison—and hit with two additional charges that could land him even more prison time, as each charge carries up to 30 years. However, despite his intense legal issues he is reportedly already making steps to better himself while behind bars.
Following the reports that Kodak Black plans to attend a prison drug rehabilitation program while serving his sentence, he’s also reportedly hoping to make some educational improvements as well. According to @Complex, Kodak wants to officially register for some classes at the Florida federal state prison where he will serve out his time.
Once he’s released, he allegedly plans to take the SAT test in hopes of being admitted into the University of Florida to obtain his bachelor’s degree. If this sounds far-fetched, it’s actually not as surprising as it seems because while he was in jail last year, Kodak made an official request for a tutor to help him get his GED.
Kodak is currently in prison for knowingly making false statements to unlawfully purchase firearms, he also admitted to lying about his criminal history when he filled the form for the Firearms Transaction Record. His additional charges are for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon—and those charges will require a separate trial and new sentencing.
After he serves his time, he will be on a mandatory three-year supervised release, he can no longer buy any weapons and will be registered as a “habitual violent offender.”
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
