TSR Reactionz: Everybody get your praise on! #KirkFranklin and his gospel choir closed out NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concert” series for Black History Month and social media was not disappointed!
Kirk and his heaveningly singers and awesome band took everyone to church and it seems that the consensus on social media was that the concert was much needed this week.
For a lot of gospel fans, Kirk gave them a dose of nostalgia performing some of his classics such as “Melodies From Heaven” within the 15-minute time frame of the concert.
Apparently for others on YouTube and social media, today’s concert was the first time they had ever experienced Kirk Franklin! For those who are new to this, Kirk certainly left an impression but you just have to see for yourself.
Kirk and his band had no business being as lit as they were today! The concert was filmed right inside of his Texas home but despite the small space, they gave off big energy. SWIPE to see people getting their lives to Kirk and his crew this morning!
To get your complete praise on, you can watch the entire concert here:
Kirk performing his classic “Melodies From Heaven” reminded people about the controversy over the song that had taken place just a few months back. DJ Luke Nasty sampled the gospel hit without Kirk’s approval and social media had some mixed reactions to the whole situation.
