Two years ago Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her hotel while in Paris. Now Kim’s insurance company is reportedly taking action and suing the bodyguard and the company he worked for.
According to TMZ, Kim’s insurance company, AIG, is reportedly suing Pascal Duvier and Protect Security, for $6.1 million. That is the amount of money the insurance company had to pay Kim for the jewelry that was stolen while she was held at gunpoint.
Kim is not the one suing; it’s her insurance company, and they are going after her assigned bodyguard and the company. They are suing for being negligent, which eventually led to the robbery.
Duiver reportedly left the hotel and followed Kim’s sisters Kourtney and Kendall to a nearby club, leaving Kim without any security. The lawsuit reportedly says there were multiple security breaches that were not corrected.
The front gate to the hotel’s courtyard was reportedly missing a lock, and the intercom to the door was not working. These are reportedly things security should have flagged.
The lawsuit claims that these breaches allowed the masked gunmen to enter the hotel, and eventually making their way to Kim, and robbing her at gunpoint. The concierge was also criticized for not having any security training, but he nor the hotel are being sued.
Kim Kardashian detailed the terrifying moment on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
