Roommates, Forbes magazine just released its 6th annual list of “America’s Richest Self-Made Women” and a few notable names made the cut. Kim Kardashian ranked in the top tier of the list thanks to her ever-growing cosmetics, fragrance and shapewear lines—Kylie Jenner, Rihanna and Kris Jenner also made appearances on the list.
Kim Kardashian’s net worth of $780 million lands her in the top 25 on the list, followed by little sister Kylie Jenner at number 29 with $700 million and momager Kris Jenner at number 92 with $190 million. Meanwhile, superstar Rihanna has a net worth of $600 million and landed at number 33. However, Oprah Winfrey topped them all with her $2.9 billion net worth.
Spotlighting the top 100 richest self-made entrepreneurs, executives and entertainers in the U.S., the women featured are worth a collective $90 billion. Women on the list range in age from 23 to 94 and they hail from all over the U.S., but mostly from California, where 45 out the 100 featured live. Fortunes were calculated using stock prices from September 11, 2020.
As for Kim Kardashian, her staggering wealth combined with the wealth of her multi-billionaire husband Kanye West, easily makes them one of the wealthiest couples in the world.
One of the most interesting aspects of the Forbes list is that many of the entertainers included amassed their wealth outside of their field, such as Rihanna, whose fortune is largely from her Fenty Beauty empire.
