Roommates, Kim Kardashian continues to be one of the biggest examples of “get you a woman who can do both.” After killing it overseas for Paris Fashion Week and Kanye’s Yeezy Season 8 fashion show, Kim has returned to the U.S. and headed straight for the White House with the women Trump granted clemency to.
Kim Kardashian is still very committed to her ongoing journey of fighting for prison reform, as she continues to study to become a lawyer and work alongside her attorneys to free those who have been wrongfully imprisoned.
Kim recently visited the White House with four of the women that Trump has granted clemency to in the last few years. Of course, the first woman that Kim helped free from prison, Alice Johnson, was there and she was joined by three other former inmates as well.
Tynice Nichole Hall, Crystal Munoz and Judith Negron were also granted clemency by Trump. Kim explained on Twitter what each woman was sentenced for, writing:
“Crystal Munoz was sentenced to 20 years in prison for conspiracy to possess & distribute marijuana. She left behind a five month old baby & was pregnant. Crystal was shackled by prison guards during the birth of her second daughter.
Judith Negron was sentenced to 35 years in prison for conspiracy to commit health care fraud. After trial she received the longest sentence ever given to a female for a white collar crime. A mother, she left behind two young sons. This was Judith’s first ever offense.
Tynice Hall was sentenced 35 years in prison for a first time non violent drug conspiracy. Her boyfriend at the time used her house for his illegal drug activities. She was only 22 years old when she went to prison and left behind a 3 year old son.”
Fans will get to see Kim tackling these cases head on in her upcoming documentary on Oxygen, “Kim Kardashian West: The Justice Project,” which airs April 5th.
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
