Kim Kardashian Shuts Down False Reports That She Gave North West JFK’s Bloody Assassination Shirt For Christmas

Kim Kardashian is officially fed up with false reports concerning her family and she is not backing down. Being the center of rampant rumors and incorrect reports by the media is nothing new to the Kardashian/Jenner family—and most of the time they clear them up on their family reality show, but Kim is different and she generally doesn’t hesitate to shut lies down on social media. That’s exactly what she did with the latest rumor concerning her daughter North West.

As many of us are still enjoying the gifts we received for Christmas, we probably didn’t get gifts as iconic as North West, who was gifted Michael Jackson’s custom made jacket and the hat he wore in his “Smooth Criminal” video by her parents, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Some people were critical of the extravagant gifts—which is likely how the recent outlandish rumor surrounding the West family started.

A fake Instagram page posted to its IG stories that in addition to Michael Jackson’s gifts, Kim and Kanye also gave North the bloody shirt that former president John F. Kennedy was wearing on the day he was assassinated. Despite no facts to back up the false claims, media outlet Refinery 29 posted an article about Kim giving North such a disturbing gift…and that’s when Kim let them have it on social media.

Taking to her Twitter page, she shut the rumor all the way down, writing this:

“WOW this is obviously fake! @Refinery29 I did not get JFK’s shirt. That is a sick joke that someone tweeted as a fake ig story that I never posted.”

Obviously realizing that they made a huge, lazy error in posting the IG story without fact-checking, Refinery 29 quickly updated the article and added an editor’s note that it removed the portion of the article containing the false report.

Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
