This week, Kim Kardashian gave fans a close look at how psoriasis affects her skin. In footage shared on Instagram, the multi-lane businesswoman showed the flare-up on both legs and one foot.
On Tuesday, Kimmy pulled back the veil on her usual perfect-looking social profile (Jan. 30). Videos she shared showed intensely red and raised patches “all up [her] leg.”
“Not gonna lie this is painful. Not sure what my triggers are. I haven’t changed my diet. I’ve tried everything! Psoriasis sucks,” Kim wrote.

After The Shade Room reposted Kim’s skin reveal on Instagram, the roommates reacted in the comment section, some relating to the condition’s struggles.
andydelacalle wrote, “Anyone with eczema/psoriasis knows the struggle, you can be all fine and good and then a random ass flare up will come out nowhere that’s just don’t wanna go away”
therealbougieone added, “Things like this reminds you that celebrities are still human at the end of the day.”
lai.michelle1 wrote, “Before yall start psoriasis is extremely painful and will degenerate your life. Be kind cause it can happen to you.”
The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases says genetics and environmental factors can cause psoriasis. Still, per their website, more studies are needed. Flaring can occur for weeks or months and subside or go into remission. The condition affects women and men equally, but more so adults than kids.
Kim gave an update on the psoriasis flare-up on Wednesday. She filmed herself removing saran wrap from her affected leg. The wrap appeared to be a method to keep her treatment ointment in. Her large leg patch seemed light pink rather than the inflamed red from the day before. However, it still appeared flaky.
“How annoying is the noise? Imagine sleeping like this on different parts of your body,” Kim Kardashian wrote in the post.
Her other leg still had a more red, flaky patch. But Kim says the cream, plus the wrap, helps alleviate that intense itching.
The saran wrap is the second psoriasis treatment tip Kim has recently shared. Last week, the beauty entrepreneur flexed the tanning bed in her work office while participating in a TikTok trend.
After folks online called out the dangerous side effects of tanning, KK explained that tanning helps her skin condition. She”quote-tweeted a”message from Allure magazine begging her not to “normalize” tanning beds.
“I have psoriasis, and it really helps when it’s bad. But I don’t use it too often,” she replied.
