Kevin Hart continues to build his media empire in many different ways. This time around he has signed a first look deal with one of the networks we all grew up watching.
According to Variety, Hart signed a first look deal with Nickelodeon, and under the deal, he will develop and produce live-action and scripted content through his company HartBeat Productions.
Hart expressed his excitement and said, “For me, Nick has always represented everything fun about being a kid, and it’s still at the forefront today of kids’ and family entertainment. I’ve been slimed at Kids’ Choice, won a lot of Orange Blimps and my kids are my very own built-in focus group, so I’m ready to dive in and make some next-level shows with Brian and everyone at Nickelodeon.”
When it comes to working on content for kids, Hart is no stranger. He has voiced characters in the film’s “Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie,” and “Secret Life of Pets.” He also starred in the remake of the classic film “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” alongside Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan.
Brian Robbins, the president of Nickelodeon said, “Kevin is an incredible talent whose appeal cuts across practically every age group and every member of the family. He knows how to create unforgettable characters, and I can’t wait for him and HartBeat Productions to focus their creativity on making great new content with us.”
Congrats to Kevin Hart on his new deal.
