We all remember Kevin Durant’s emotional acceptance speech when he was awarded with the NBA MVP Award for the 2013-2014 NBA season. During his emotional speech Kevin Durant spoke about all of the sacrifices his mother made to get him to the point of where he had been during that time. However, if there was anything that stuck out from that speech, it will definitely have to be when he crowned his mother “The Real MVP”.
Now his mother Wanda Pratt has her own biopic called, “The Real MVP: The Wanda Pratt Story” coming to Lifetime on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 8th. According to Deadline, “The film tells the true story of Pratt, a single mom who struggled and sacrificed to raise her two sons, Tony and Kevin.”
Filming is already underway in Vancouver, and Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere’s Flavor Unit are executive producers of the film. Some of the cast members include, Tracie Thoms (Single Ladies) Pauletta Washington (Wilma) Demarius Mack (Real Husbands Of Hollywood) and others.
