Earlier this week singer Keri Hilson was making her rounds to promote her new Lifetime film, ‘Love By The 10th Date,’ which also stars Kelly Rowland and Meagan Good.
On Thursday she stopped by to visit the ladies of The Real. While on the show she also talked about her upcoming album, ‘L.I.A.R,’ which is an acronym for ‘love is a religion.’ Last year the album was announced, and while the details were accurate, Keri revealed that it was announced through a fake press release.
She said, “There are so many similarities between religion and love. If we believe this will work, then we will do what it takes and we will be obedient. We’ll do what it takes to make it work. It’s religious. You gotta be that committed to making love work.”
The singer was not too open to talk about her former relationship with NBA star Serge Ibaka, but she did say, “I learned so much. I’m grateful. I thank him.”
There was no official release date announced for Keri’s new album, but it will be her first project since the release of her 2010 album, ‘No Boys Allowed.’
