Back in March Keri Hilson announced to her fans that she would be dropping new music during the summer of 2019. However, with the fall time quickly approaching fans have been wondering where is the new music from Keri.
Late Monday, Keri took to social media to give her fans an update on the progress with her new music. She said, “I don’t share much, but I’m working my ass off to get you this project. Turns out I’ll be a tad behind Summer, but we’re almost there!!”
Keri Hilson released her debut album “In A Perfect World,” back in March of 2009. She followed up with her sophomore album “No Boys Allowed,” in December 2010. Since then she’s been on a hiatus when it comes to dropping her own music.
Back in March, on the 10-year-anniversary of her debut album’s release, she said, “Today marks 10 years since the release of my first studio album, “In A Perfect World…” I didn’t mean to be gone so long, I only needed my real world to be perfect…it is now. Thank you for your patience. The wait is over. I’m ready. Summer 2019.”
A month before, she opened up about why it’s taken her so long to drop new music, and said, “My truth is, I’d love nothing more than to release this incredible music I’ve been ‘sitting on,’ and I’ve been trying for years for that to occur. There have been so many blockages I have constantly fought myself to not directly speak about.,,,wisdom.”
