More Details On The Couple’s Wedding

According to Fox 35 Orlando, Logen and Tiana Abney of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, exchanged their vows on Valentine’s Day. However, the couple had a more unique ceremony than many others.

The outlet reports that the Abneys exchanged their nuptials inside a bathroom of a Hop Shops convenience store. According to the company’s official website, Hop Shops are usually located alongside gas stations.

“I didn’t want to go to the chapel or get married in the church,” Tiana Abney told Fox 35 Orlando.

Furthermore, Abney explained that she and Logen were supposed to get married on the Fourth of July. However, they canceled their plans. The new wife explained that she jokingly spoke to her boss about having their ceremony at Hop Shop. To note, Tiana Abney is an employee there. Her boss liked her plans.

Why The Gas Station Bathroom?

According to the outlet, Tiana Abney explained that Hop Shop restrooms are known for their special effects. The company’s website calls them the “home of the famous disco bathrooms.”

Fox 35 Orlando adds that customers can “push a red button and transform the bathroom into a dance floor with disco lights and music.”

“I was like, well, it’s definitely going to be kind of different, but kind of cool too, because like I said, ‘I ain’t never been in a gas station bathroom where you can push a button, and disco lights come on,'” Tiana’s husband, Logen Abney, explained.

During the ceremony, after the bride and groom shared their kiss, they put their rings on each other’s fingers and then pushed the red button.

Fox 35 Orlando reports that Randy Travis’ “Forever and Ever, Amen” played as the married couple’s first song.

“What mattered to us was we got to end up marrying each other, and we were happy,” Tiana Abney explained. “In the end, we were happy with the wedding, happy with the outcome. That’s all that really matters to us.”
