Supermodel Stephanie Seymour does not think Kendall Jenner, her best friend Gigi Hadid, and other models of the like are deserving of the title ‘supermodel’.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, the 47 year old said that she supports them and thinks they’re beautiful girls, but a term that better suits them is “b*tches of the moment”.
Oop! Kendall, who is usually the least outspoken of the Kardashian-Jenner clan was not having it this time! She took to her app to respond to Seymour’s comments:
“If you’re going to tell us not to be in ‘your moment,’ then don’t be in mine!… No one is trying to steal Stephanie Seymour’s thing, or trying to be her. I actually looked up to her. She has a daughter!”
She continued on to say, “Being a ‘supermodel’ is a relative term. If people want to call Gigi and I supermodels now, it doesn’t take anything away from supermodels of the past,” she continued. “Obviously, I have so much respect for those women, but right now, we’re the models of this time. Significant? Maybe. Hardworking? For sure.”
This isn’t the first time Kendall has received scrutiny for being a model. She is often in the conversation of whether or not she is a model because she is actually good at it, or because of her family name and connections.
Okay roommates, do you agree with Stephanie Seymours comments, or do you think she needs to have a seat?
