It’s been some time since we’ve heard some new music from Kelly Rowland. She released her last studio album “Talk A Good Game” back in 2013, with the top charting singles “Dirty Laundry” and “Kisses Down Low.” Since then she’s been living life. She tied the knot back in 2014 and became the mother to her adorable son Titan in the same year.
Now Kelly is ready to head back to her music. In a recent interview with ABC Radio, she revealed that she is preparing to release new music, and her first single can come as soon as next month. She said, “I’m actually gearing up for a video right now, actually in rehearsals for a video right now I’m excited about. There’s going to be a video.”
She also revealed that she has enough music for two albums with 45 songs recorded, but she’s just trying to figure out which sound she’s going for this time around. Nonetheless she can confirm that her next project will be close to her R&B roots. “It’s definitely more R&B and to the core of even the dance music, it’s still soul and that’s the core of who I am, is my soul, and I always want that to come across.”
Aside from the new music she has coming our way, Kelly has also been working on her new BET reality based show, Chasing Destiny, “A multi-platform search for the next blazing hot singing sensation that will bring together young women with all that’s required to meet.” Chasing Destiny premiers on April 5th at 10 p.m. ET.
