Kelly Price isn’t the one! Today, she went live and shared a clear and direct message to Jonjelyn Savage, mother of R.Kelly’s girlfriend, Joycelyn Savage, after she threatened the singer and told her to tread lightly. It appears that Jonjelyn was upset at comments Kelly made about parents taking their children backstage at R.Kelly’s concerts to help them further their career in an interview on Vlad TV.
During the interview, Kelly spoke with comedian Luenell. When asked about her relationship with R.Kelly, she detailed it was strictly professional, and it was like a brother-sister relationship. She clarified she was never exposed to his alleged misconduct but had heard the rumors of him being involved with underage girls. Kelly flat out said, “I think where there’s smoke, there’s fire.”
The conversation shifted when Luenell said that R.Kelly didn’t act alone, meaning he had people allegedly assisting him in getting underage girls. “In this business—and nobody really wants to talk about it—in this business, that’s not odd, that’s actually the culture,” The singer said. “It’s the culture. Now that I have seen. I’ve seen mothers bring their daughters backstage. And that’s the thing nobody wants to talk about.”
Kelly had time and addressed being threatened by Ms.Savage, and it wasn’t nice.
Kelly, who is a victim of sexual abuse, said, “Be really careful about telling me that I need to tread lightly if you’re not prepared to back up what you said. I said, and I can stand behind everything that I said. I was raped as a kid I was also molested. I would never stand behind someone who is doing the same thing.”
Kelly continued stating, “I said what I had to say about R.Kelly. He’s in jail right now. I also said that I believe that’s where he belongs.” Kelly told Jonjelyn that she had nothing to do with what she went through and that she stands on her statement about the industry.
Roommates, do you think Kelly’s comments were wrong?
