#Roommates, we can all breathe a sigh of relief. After an intense search and sharing her information on social media, 16-year-old Karol Sanchez has been found safe and unharmed following her kidnapping last night.
According to local media outlets, Bronx resident Karol Sanchez was found at a park near where she was kidnapped on around 11:30 PM on December 16th, as she and her mother were walking down a public street. Reportedly, Karol made her way to a family member’s apartment building, and then went down to the police precinct to meet with officers before she was reunited with the rest of her family.
As we previously reported, an Amber Alert was issued for Karol and a word quickly spread on social media following her kidnapping. Many were absolutely horrified to see the video of Karol and her mother walking down a rainy street in the Bronx when a tan sedan with four men inside pulled up beside them and pulled Karol inside the vehicle before speeding off.
In the extremely grainy video, you could see her mother trying her best to fight the men off and save her daughter, but they pushed her to the ground instead. The suspects are described as four adult males in their 20s with dark complexions and all were wearing dark-colored clothing.
Further details of Karol’s kidnapping are unknown right now, however police have confirmed that she did not know her kidnappers.
We’re incredibly happy that she was found safely.
