Kanye West’s name has been really buzzing lately over some of the controversial stunts he’s been pulling. One was his last minute NYFW unveiling of his Yeezy Season 2 collection and let’s not forget the announcement of his 2020 presidential run during the VMAs this year!
Well the rapper turned fashionista recently sat down with Vanity to discuss all things Kanye…. As if he would want it any other way!
In regards to Yeezy Season 2, Kanye admits that things were calmer this time around as ironic as it may sound. Despite some criticism, Kanye has been working on this line since the day after the last collection and planned for it to be equally bigger and better.
As for the music side of things, Kanye reveals that he is working on an album but there is no timeline as to when it will be released. The album, as well as the song he premiered is not yet finished but he is working on it… Sounds like pure Gemini problems!
Now for the juicy stuff, of course we wanted to know was Kanye really serious about his plans to run for president? Well this is what he had to say, “I sit in clubs and I’m like, Wow, I’ve got five years before I go and run for office and I’ve got research to do, I’ve got a lot of growing up to do…. I hate politics. I’m not a politician at all. I care about the truth and I just care about human beings. I just want everyone to win, that’s all I can say, and I think we can. I think the words “dreamer” and “passionate” diminish my will to execute. “
