According to @people, Kanye West spent a nice coin on his failed 2020 presidential attempt.
In a Federal Election Commission report, the rapper contributed $12.5 million of his own money and raised a little over $2 million from outside donors.
People also reports that in total West “raised $14.5 million to fund his late-in-the-cycle bid.”
The report also breaks down a total of 278 expenses for the ‘Kanye 2020’ campaign. It’s reported that $7.5 million went towards getting his name on the ballot, $918,130 was spent on campaign apparel, and a two-page ad was purchased in The New York Times for $210,544, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Kanye also spent hundreds of thousands on ‘campaign video’ costs, in addition to consulting and legal fees that total millions.
West was on the ballot in 12 states. He would eventually concede with a tweet that read,”WELP. KANYE 2024.”
As previously reported, Kanye and Kim Kardashian are headed for divorce, according to TMZ.
Kim is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s four children. Sources also tell TMZ that Kanye is fine with the joint custody arrangement, and they both are committed to co-parenting together.
There’s a prenup that neither of the two are contesting. A settlement, including property and custody has already been reached. The documents, were filed by celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, however the date of separation is not listed.
As we previously reported back in January, sources close to Kanye West provided details about what led to the demise of their marriage. Sources close to Kanye said at the time that he has BEEN checked out of his marriage with Kim Kardashian due to the “craziness” of her family.
