Y’all know that Kanye West does not play about his brand, and he’s putting Adidas on blast once again! As y’all know, Adidas carries Kanye’s ‘Yeezy’ streetwear brand, and Ye is accusing them of carrying out Yeezy Day without his approval.
For the last few years, Adidas has designated a day to re-release a host of Yeezy sneakers. This year, Yeezy Day took place on August 1st and 2nd, and Ye is alleging that the brand created the day without his permission, according to Complex.
Complex reports that Kanye sent the publication a direct message on Instagram expressing his grievances with the Adidas brand. In said message, not only did Ye slam Yeezy Day, he alleged that the company made hiring decisions without his knowledge and stole some of his designs for their own shoes.
Adidas made up the Yeezy day idea without my approval then went and brought back older styles without my approval picked colors without my approval named them without my approval went and hired people that worked for me without my approval stole my colorways without my approval stole my styles and material approached without my approval went and hired a gm of Yeezy without my approval…”
The lengthy message continued to accuse the athletic brand using Ye’s ideas–including allegations aboit Adidas slowed down the production of his collab with Balenciaga and Gap. The message ended with a plea saying, “God step in.”
As we previously reported, Kanye put Adidas on blast back in June after the company released the images of its 2022 adilette slides. According to Ye, the slides resemble his famous Yeezy slides and he accused the three stripe brand of “blatant copying” in a post on Instagram.
