Kanye West Reportedly Set To Headline Coachella Music Festival This Spring

Roommates, it looks like this year’s Coachella festival just landed a huge headliner…in the form of superstar Kanye West. According to Billboard, Kanye West is set to headline the Sunday night show of Coachella—and could also possibly stage a second Sunday Service performance.

If recent reports are any indication, Kanye West is headed back to headline the Coachella stage for the first time in over a decade. You’ll recall that Ye first headlined Coachella back in 2011, with an explosive set of his lengthy collection of hits.

As of now, all Kanye has left to do is sign on the dotted line and his headlining Coachella set is 100% official, according to sources close to the festival. Coachella, which was postponed multiple times due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, is set to take place April 15-17 and April 22-24 at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California.

Back in 2020, with dates that were initially set in 2019, which Rage Against the Machine, Travis Scott and Frank Ocean were all scheduled as headliners. However, the spring 2020 Coachella show was moved to October of the same year before being completely cancelled—this was followed by the 2021 festival also being cancelled due to rising cases of COVID-19. In August of last year, Coachella announced that Frank Ocean would headline in 2023.

Meanwhile, Kanye could perform two separate sets, one featuring his classic hits and another featuring his Sunday Service choir, although the addition of a Sunday Service show has not been confirmed.
