Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are well-known for their lavish, innovative and over-the-top style, both in clothing and home design. To give their fans an inside look into the design inspiration for their massive, minimalist $60 million mansion, they decided to open up courtesy of a recent feature with Architectural Digest.
Steering away from the traditional format of features for the magazine, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian quizzed each other about the designs aspects of their home instead of being interviewed.
The A-list couple asked questions centered around a list of topics regarding their Los Angeles mansion, including interesting questions about specific rooms in the home, their favorite areas and more.
One of the funniest parts of the sit-down was when Kim was asked a question by Kanye regarding when is the last time she used the swimming pool and why they don’t have a jacuzzi, choosing instead to have an extremely large pool that can warmed. As Kim is answering, Kanye looks right at the camera and hilariously says, “Can you believe we don’t have a jacuzzi?”
Other fun questions included, “what habits did you change when we moved in together” and “what’s the one thing you would get rid of if I wasn’t around.” At one point during the interview, Kanye details how he and Kim’s kids have had a big impact on the design of the house, which was created with Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt.
As you already know if you’re a Kanye fan, he loves to listen to his own music while at home, so when the question, “If our house had a soundtrack, what it would be?” he (and Kim) unanimously agreed that Ye’s chart-topping album “Jesus Is King” is currently on the West family playlist.
To end the couple quiz session, Kanye and Kim were interrupted by their oldest child, North West, who shows just how much she resembles her father with her outgoing personality and star power. You can check out the full video here.
