Roommates, Yeezy Season is finally here, as Kanye West officially confirmed his new album “DONDA” is dropping this Friday and debuted his new single “No Child Left Behind” in the latest “Beats By Dre” commercial starring track and field star Sha’Carri Richardson.
While sports fans were watching Game 6 of the NBA Finals, they were treated to some new music by none other than Kanye West, paired with a surprise appearance by track champion Sha’Carri Richardson. As industry insiders and fellow celebrities have been posting about Kanye’s upcoming new music, he has stayed totally silent—but that all changed with the premiere of a brand new “Beats By Dre” commercial.
In the one-minute clip, Sha’Carri is shown training on a darkened track field while Kanye’s new song “No Child Left Behind” plays in the background. At the end of the commercial, the words “Live your truth” are shown followed by the release date for Kanye’s long-awaited album “DONDA,” which read “DONDA Listening Event Livestream on Apple Music Thursday at 8PM ET.” That event will be held at Atlanta’s Mercedes Benz Stadium.
The commercial also marks the first major public endorsement that Sha’Carri Richardson has received since she was officially disqualified from competing in the Tokyo Olympics due to marijuana use.
Meanwhile, Kanye West also made his triumphant return to Instagram by posting series of photos of his clothing and highlighting his gold chains featuring the names of his four children and his mother.
