During the recent 2020 Grammy Awards, a K-Pop star spotted Chris Brown and took a photo with him because according to her, she is a big fan. Well, that changed a bit once she posted the photo to social media and her fans blasted her for being photographed with Chris due to his past domestic violence issues.
K-Pop star Ailee took a selfie with Chris Brown during Grammy weekend—but the photo definitely didn’t garner the response she was hoping for once she posted it to her Instagram account. Her fans quickly flooded her comment section attacking her for posing with Chris because of his documented history of domestic violence.
Ailee decided to edit her original caption of the photo and instead provide an explanation of why she took the picture, while making it clear that she does not condone Chris’s past behavior:
“When I said ‘he WAS one of the artists I enjoyed listening to growing up and that’s a fact that will never change.’ i meant the fact that I enjoyed his music when I was younger will never change. The only thing on my mind was literally ‘oh wow!! CB! I used to love his songs!’ I DO NOT and WILL NOT support women, men, pet, animal or any other kinds of abusers and the ONLY reason I’m keeping this post up is to CLARIFY the reason I took this pic in the first place.”
Meanwhile, Chris got wind of her edited post and simply commented, “CORNBALL” underneath. As of right now, Ailee has not responded to Chris’s comment.
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
