Singer Justin Bieber is performing in tribute to Takeoff at his public memorial service scheduled in Atlanta this week.
The pop superstar will perform at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on Friday, reports TMZ, where the funeral service is being held. So far, it’s unclear how long Bieber’s set will be or what exactly he might be performing but, he has collaborated with the star in the past.
While Justin doesn’t have any solo songs with Takeoff specifically, he’s collaborated with the Migos as a whole. The group featured the singer on the songs “What You See” and “Looking for You.” He also has another couple of records with Quavo, Takeoff’s uncle and band member.
Atlanta radio station, V-103, previously reported that that Rev. Jesse Curney, III, Senior Pastor of New Mercies Christian Church, will officiate the services. The service will begin promptly at 12:00 pm ET on 11/11/22.
“I plan to remember him as the young man that I saw growing up in the church who loved being with his family, who loved coming to worship, and the times when he made it to church with his busy schedule, he still came as just a regular worshiper, and one who showed love to fans” Rev. Curney tells Audacy’s NewsTalk 1380 WAOK in Atlanta.
Free tickets are available only to Georgia residents starting today via Ticketmaster. Fans can secure a maximum of two tickets. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the public memorial will start at noon. No photos or video are allowed inside the venue, and all devices will be checked upon entry.
