Justin Bieber has been on a mission to correct his past mistakes and this time around he is addressing his past use of racial slurs while taking a stand against racism.
He shared an Instagram post that read, “Stand Against Racism,” and continued to elaborate in his caption. He said, “When I was young, I was uneducated and found myself saying really hurtful things not knowing the power of my words. Racism is still very prevalent and I want to use my voice to remind we are all human beings and all of EQUAL VALUE BEFORE GOD!”
Now although he didn’t go into detail about the hurtful things that he has said in the past, many people have already seen the videos that resurfaced a few years ago. In the videos, a young Justin Bieber can be heard using the n-word.
In one video he sings a parody of his song “One Less Lonely Girl,” however while singing the song he replaced the word girl with the word n*gger. In another video, he tells a racist joke and asks why are black people scared of chainsaws. He then proceeded to say, “run n*gger, n*gger, n*gger.”
Justin has been taking a lot of accountability for his past mistakes. Back in September, he made a lengthy post to Instagram where he addressed his previous wrongdoings, including his abuse of drugs and ruining relationships with others.
Roommates, what are your thoughts?
