Last month it was reported that Justin Bieber was studying to be a Minister at Hillsong Church, according to an OK Magazine report. Their source stated, “Justin believes he can take a leadership position in restoring order.” This occurred due to Hillsong Church being under fire following their scandal with its former Pastor Carl Lentz.
Today the Biebs cleared the air and shut down the claims via Instagram in a series of posts. He wrote, “I’M NOT STUDYING TO BE A MINISTER OR ANYTHING EVEN CLOSE TO THAT. I HAVE NO DESIRE FOR THAT. THIS IS FAKE NEWS.”
He continued, “AND BY THE WAY HILLSONG IS NOT MY CHURCH… FOR CLARITY I AM A PART OF CHURCH HOME. The church is not a place. We are the church. We don’t need a building to connect with God. God is with us wherever we are.”
Biebs ended his message with, “The creator of the Ocean and Mountains also created you! You are a part of the plan, your life matters, he sees you! He’s been patient with you as you ran from him, and we need your return! He’s not mad. He understands.”
Many Roommates commented on the post and loved to see Justin preach the Gospel! One commented, “Sounds like he preaching to me. Come on, Bishop Bieber!” Another commented, “Lol for a non-Minister, he sure is preaching. I’m here for it, though!”
Although Biebs isn’t planning on becoming a man of the cloth, he has been heavily speaking about religion since last year. In August 2020, he, along with his wife Hailey Baldwin, got baptized. He has also performed several Gospel songs and even performed Marvin Sapp’s “Never Would Have Made It” at one of Kanye West’s Sunday service concerts.
