According to reports, Dr. Dre’s estranged wife, Nicole Young, has landed another victory in their pending divorce.
@pagesix reports, Dr. Dre now has to get a new lawyer to represent him in his divorce case.
The site reports that “a judge has ruled that power divorce attorney Laura Wasser — and Dre’s lawyer Howard King — cannot represent him in his blockbuster split from estranged wife Nicole Young.”
In court, Young’s attorney argued that Wasser had previously represented Dr. Dre and Nicole Young, as their family attorney, since their engagement resulting to Wasser being “vicariously disqualified.”
Wasser is said to be one of the biggest divorce attorneys in Los Angeles, and Kim Kardashian is actually one of her current clients.
A judge ultimately ruled that Dr. Dre “is instructed to obtain counsel as soon as possible.”
Most recently, Nicole Young claimed that Dr. Dre was sending her death threats, and as a result, she officially filed a restraining order against him for her safety.
Also, in January, Dre struck a deal that would require him to write her a one-time check for 2 milli and that’s all he’ll pay, at least until their next divorce hearing in April, according to TMZ.
Believe it or not, Nicole actually demanded $2 million per month PLUS another $5 million in attorney’s fees. Apparently Dre was not going to let her get all of that and the catch is, she has to use the money he’s giving her to pay her lawyers, according to TMZ.
