Judge Orders Baton Rouge Police Department To Return $47K To NBA YoungBoy That Was Taken From Him During Arrest (Update)

On Thursday, a judge ordered the return of more than $47,000 that was seized, while NBA YoungBoy was filming a video.

NBA YoungBoy’s attorney— James Manasseh—argued that the seizing of his money was unconstitutional due to lack of evidence, according to The Advocate.

“One of Kentrell Gaulden’s attorneys had argued in a court filing that the seizure and detention of the cash was ‘illegal and unconstitutional’ because the state did not have sufficient evidence to support the confiscation of non-contraband property.”

After the hearing, judge Tiffany Foxworth signed an order directing the Baton Rouge Police Department to return YoungBoy’s coins!

NBA YoungBoy and 15 others were arrested but have not been officially charged. District Attorney Hillar Moore III stated they were still reviewing the case.

“We will continue to do so and meet with the agencies involved before making the appropriate billing decision — probably at the first of the year,” he said.

Most recently, Youngboy welcomed his sixth child. One of his children’s mothers, Drea Symone, announced on Instagram that the pair welcomed their daughter, Kodi Capri, on Instagram. Drea took shared a sweet message along with a photo showing Kodi’s hand. The caption reads, “November 26th, 2020, on Thanksgiving Day, I was given a 7.5lb reason to become more thankful. I’ve been caught up cherishing the days after… it’s safe to say my heart is full!! Kodi Capri…”
