On Thursday, Justin Bieber was granted a motion to subpoena Twitter, in order to find out who is behind the accounts that accused him of sexual assault last month.
According to @people, “Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Terry Green granted the motion on Thursday.”
His lawyer, Evan Spiegel, reportedly stated that he believes the same person is behind both Twitter accounts.
Last month, Twitter was in a frenzy when two Twitter accounts accused the singer of sexual assault between 2014-2015, according to BBC. The Twitter user claims the assault happened in Austin, Texas at the Four Season Hotel. The user also reportedly said she was invited back to Justin’s room where she was sexually assaulted. The tweets have since been deleted.
In response, Justin posted screenshots of articles that had photos of him with his then girlfriend Selena Gomez from the very same day the user claimed she was sexually assaulted by the singer. A few days after the allegations, he later filed a $20 million defamation lawsuit.
