Joycelyn Savage is not a new mommy, according to her father, Timothy Savage. Rumors started swirling last week after an Instagram profile claiming to be Joycelyn posted two photos of a newborn.
Timothy didn’t spend any time dancing around the subject–he straight up denied his daughter’s pregnancy, calling his remark “100% accurate.” The father also said he believes Joycelyn is in danger.
“If I had a granddaughter, I would be the first to say I love this child no matter what the situations is, period. But, rest assured, that’s not my granddaughter, and rest assured: Joycelyn is not pregnant,” Timothy said in a recent video.
The profile is no longer active, but according to HipHop DX, it posted the first image on December 17. The post’s caption only stated the alleged child’s name Ava Lee Kelly and birthdate, December 8. There was a loving caption included with the second image, reportedly posted on December 18.
“My baby girl Ava when you were born, my whole world shined so bright,” the caption said. “I knew it was no longer about me anymore; it was about us. Though the world is cold, I promise to always protect you. I am so happy to be your mother & you bring me so much joy. 12.08.22”
Kelly is already a father to three children, Joann, Jay, and Robert Jr., with his ex-wife Andrea. And he’s guaranteeing that his finacée Joycelyn is NOT pregnant. He confirmed that they’re together and love each other but said “hell nah” when asked if she had a child. Kelly also denied, for a second time, that he put out an album called I Admit It.
“Hell nah, that’s what I’m saying. She didn’t have a child, I didn’t put out no damn album. And if I would have put out an album, it wouldn’t be called no damn I Admit It. We have to start using our common sense at some point,” Kelly said in an exclusive conversation with The Natasha Sequence.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard Joycelyn, who is also reportedly R. Kelly’s fiancée, is a first-time mother. In an 11-page memoir published in August, a seller claiming to be Joycelyn stated that she was pregnant with R. Kelly’s fourth child. Called Love and Joy of Robert, the book was independently published on Amazon. It did not list a delivery date.
“A source, identifying herself Savage,” told the NY Post that Kelly “approved the book” and “his team read it through.” Soon after, Kelly’s lawyer Jennifer Bonjean took to Twitter to shut down the memoir and the pregnancy claims.
“There is no truth to reports that Joy is releasing a tell-all memoir, and she is certainly not pregnant with R. Kelly’s child. People are just insane. Carry on.”
But Savage reportedly fired back at Bonjean’s denial. She told Entertainment Tonight that she was five months pregnant after doing IVF treatments with Robert prior to his jailing and said Bonjean did not know.
“When he got sent to prison, we paused on it, and I had them freeze my eggs until I was ready. Once his lawyer did find out, she wanted me to have an abortion because she didn’t feel that now was the time for me to have a child following the 30-year sentence,” Joycelyn reportedly said.
Despite Timothy’s certainty that his daughter is not and was not pregnant, the father admitted to having little contact with Joycelyn. However, he claimed to be invested in finding out who is behind a Joycelyn Patreon account, the memoir, the pregnancy claim, and birth rumors.
“These people are scammers, and they deserve to be put behind bars where they belong. At this point in time, I don’t even know if my daughter is alive or not due to the circumstances of what she’s going through,” Timothy said. “Somebody is trying to throw this family off and trying to deceive us in thinking that my daughter is fine and okay, which I don’t it think is true. I need to [see] some type of [proof of life.]”
He added:
“I truly and honestly believe that my daughter is being harmed in some form or fashion. Whether Rob is in jail or whether these actual predator people that who are trying to cover up, my thing is not to blame someone else that is in jail, but someone that is actually trying to cover up a situation about my daughter. “
Timothy says he plans to investigate the pregnancy and baby situation more. He also encouraged Chicago authorities and the FBI to investigate “to see if [his] daughter is still living and see if she is okay.”
“We are going to do everything in our power to make sure Joycelyn is fine. That’s all we want.”
