Jonathan Majors recently shared his feelings after learning Marvel swapped ‘Avengers: Kang of Dynasty’ for ‘Avengers: Doomsday Movie.’ TMZ reports that the award-winning actor is “heartbroken” that he won’t star in the new film as Kang.
The Marvel franchise pivoted after a court found the actor guilty of assault in December 2023. The outlet’s reporter caught up to Majors on the streets of LA. He was rocking a red and white cap that read ‘USA’ and a black tank top.
The actor said, “I’m heartbroken, of course. I love him. I love Kang.” Majors added, “Dr. Doom is wicked, though.”
Award-winning actor Robert Downey Jr. will star in the new film. He got a second chance after legal trouble, the camerawoman noted, in addition to Ezra Miller. She added that the men had felony charges while Majors had a misdemeanor.
Jonathan subsequently responded, “I think it’s fair that Mr. Downey is being and has been greeted with patience and curiosity and love, and that Mr. Miller has gotten the same treatment.”
Furthermore, he said, “…they’re being allowed to work their art and be creative at that level…” Moreover, Majors added, “I didn’t really get that.”

Roommates under The Shade Room’s Instagram report weighed in on Jonathan’s thoughts.
@beeeeeyyyyyy4 said, “I mean, if Robert got a 2nd chance after being arrested and [doing] drugs, why can’t he!!!”
@j.teeea wrote, “there’s a difference between assault allegations and being proven guilty, and being open to being an addict and going to therapy and fixing yourself. RDJ was blackballed for YEARS before given the chance again for iron man and who said ezra miller was in good graces with everybody?”
“He was amazing as kang,” @itwas_ay3 said.
As previously reported by The Shade Room, Majors was cast in his first movie since his assault charge. The actor will star in the supernatural revenge thriller ‘Merciless,’ which will begin filming in the fall.
