As the world continues to try and navigate through this current pandemic, many people have already become accustomed to participating in virtual interviews from their homes. And while these interviews are now happening from people’s homes, you’re never sure what you may see. John Wall of the Washington Wizards caught the attention of many as he was spotted playing a card game while being interviewed on ESPN.
According to Sports Illustrated, John appeared on “Monday Tailgate,” with Field Yates and Jason Fitz as he talked about the Dallas Cowboys’ performance during the current NFL season and his support for the team. However, it was clear as day that he had more than one thing he was focusing on at that moment.
Viewers were visibly able to see John holding up his playing cards in his hands, and at one point he became so distracted that he needed one of the questions repeated to him. “Repeat that question please, I’m sorry,” said John.
Nonetheless, it made for a funny moment that brought many people laughter.
Sports journalist Taylor Rooks made sure to provide everyone with an update on how the card game went for John as well. She said, “Important: I just spoke to John Wall. He tells me ended up winning that game of spades.”
